Who is marce?
My name is Marcela Reyes, but everybody knows me as Marce. I tell stories for a living—my own or someone else's. Books saved me from a boring life of numbers, and thanks to them I discovered that I love writing more than almost anything else. I am proudly Mexican, but I have lived in the U.S and now I reside in the U.K. with my 4 cats. From this country, I write, edit, translate, read, and Netflix (probably way too much).
I am especialista in all things Selena, I use Spanglish like my life depends on it, and every day I regret that it wasn't me, but beautiful Linda Rodin, who came up with my life's motto:
"Unless it’s 5 in the morning, I’m wearing red lipstick to the airport.”
I am a creative storyteller with decades of experience aiding organizations in developing strategic communications that center justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion. I have worked in international non-profits, political campaigns, local government, new media, cultural organizations, and innovation start-ups.
I have a B.A. in Journalism and Media Studies and a Master’s in Humanistic Studies (specializing in Literature and Discourse). My dissertation is about New Latin American Journalism (2011) and ever since I am obsessed with Latin American New Journalism.
If you are looking for a communications strategist, or you are looking for writers or collaborators, don't hesitate to send me an e-mail. I'll be glad to help you.
Let's work together!
