Communications and Content Manager
CHALLENGE - Redesign Communications and Content Strategy for film festival in Mexico.
SOLUTION - Create a comprehensive and detailed plan for each edition of the Monterrey International Film Festival.
HOW I SOLVED IT
Collaborating with teammates in creating a concept and narrative for each edition of the festival.
Developing a specific and personalized approach according to the yearly branding campaign.
Building a cross-channel Communications and Content Strategy that went hand-in-hand with the festival’s brand and annual campaign.
Overseeing partnerships and collaborations –branding agencies, designers, filmmakers, directors, editors, translators, designers, copywriters, traditional and digital media partners, amongst others.
Supervising the Press and Social Media Department, as well as overseeing the development of the strategies and work plans for those departments.
Coordinating the editorial content calendar and editorial processes (film books, news, interviews, etc.).
Previous collaborations with the festival include working as Press Officer from 2011 – 2013.
WEBSITE REDESIGN
CHALLENGE - Improve Festival’s website navigation and increase traffic.
SOLUTION - Redesign website by including UX principles.
HOW I SOLVED IT
Provided Information Architecture for website content.
Content Strategy and plain language writing.
Created new targeted sites for specific audiences, e.g. Virtual Press Room
Translated content from Spanish to English.
MEDIA RELATIONS
Fostered a close professional relationship with local, national and international media.
My media strategy included traditional channels as well as alternative media such as influencers, bloggers, YouTubers, amongst others.
